2. According to Mr. P. T. Mohan Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, during the pendency of this writ petition, further encroachment has been made and the Grama Panchayat authorities are yet to take any action on the illegal encroachments.

3. Reliefs sought for in this writ petition are as follows:

    I. Issuing a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus or other appropriate form of writ, commanding the 1st and 2nd respondent to initiate appropriate action in a time bound manner to demolish the illegal structures claiming to be used as bus waiting sheds and directing the respondents to restrain construction of such illegal structures on the sides of Kalpetta-Mananthavady State Highway, especially in Kambalakkad Town, within the limits of Kaniyambetta Grama Panchayat;

II. Issuing a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus or other appropriate form of writ commanding the 2nd respondent, to provide all the facilities and amenities in the Kambalakkad bus stand, as contemplated under the Rules, and in compliance with all statutory mandates.

4.
