JUDGMENT
1. - Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. It is an admitted position that the petitioner is performing her duties of the Stenographer. The petitioner is not getting salary of the post of Stenographer but she is being paid Rs. 625/- consolidated pay.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that she is entitled to get minimum basis salary available to the Stenographer. She further submits that she is also entitled to be regularised.
4. In the facts and circumstances of the case it is directed that looking to the settled law the petitioner is entitled for the minimum basic salary for the post on which she is working. It is further directed that the petitioner shall also be entitled for the D. A. and other allowances which are admissible under the rules. As far as question of regularisation is concerned no direction can be given by this court and the petitioner will have to face the competitive examination for the post of Stenographer. The respondents shall pay the arrears to the petitioner within two months from today. The petitioner shall be entitled for the arrears from the date of filing writ petitioner i. e. to say 2.8.1988.
