JUDGMENT

1. The instant special appeal is directed against the order of the learned 1 Single Judge dated 7 4.2000.

2. Briefly stated the facts of the case are that the 4th respondent Barda filed a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, raising the grievance that as per the notification issued by the District Election Officer, the post of the Sarpanch of village Jagpura, Tehsil Ashind, District Bhilwara was reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates, however, the elections on the said post had been conducted as if it were reserved for general women and the., respondent No. 4 namely Smt. Prittam Rana (appellant) has been elected.

3. The learned Single Judge without notice to the other party disposed of -he writ petition by order dated 7.4.2000 giving the direction as follows:-

"Thus, the petition is disposed of finally with a direction that if the petitioner filed a proper representation annexing the copy of the letter dated 29.2.2000 (Annexure- 3) issued by the District Election Officer and the copy of Annexure- 1 showing that the seat was reserved for Scheduled Castes candidates within a period of two weeks from today, the respondent No. 2 is requested to consider
