JUDGMENT

1. This criminal misc. petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred for quashing of the criminal proceedings pending against the petitioners before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bilara, Jodhpur in Criminal Original Case No.129/2019 arising out of FIR No.155/2019, Police Station Bilara, Distt. Jodhpur Rural for offence under Sections 384, 120B, 354-D IPC. Learned Magistrate vide order dated 13.03.2020 refused to compound the offence under Section 384, 120B against petitioners No.1 to 18 and Sections 384, 120-B & 354-D IPC against petitioner No.19.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners has argued that the respondent Nos.2 & 3 and the petitioners have already entered into compromise and on the basis of it, there is no possibility of conviction of the petitioners for the offences punishable under Sections 384, 120B, 354-D IPC. It is also argued that no useful purpose would be served by continuing the trial against the petitioners for the aforesaid offences because the same may derail the compromise arrived at between the parties.
