2. We have heard learned counsel for the appellant and perused the grounds taken in the appeal. A few facts which are relevant for purposes of disposal of this appeal are as follows:

It is now brought to the notice of the court that there are only two colleges imparting knowledge of law in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, and there had been so much rush for the admission of the students intending to enter into law college. There are no other private institutions in this area to cater the needs of such students as we find in other States.

The petitioners grievance before the learned Single Judge was that admittedly the cut off points for the admission to the current year 1994-95 for purpose of LL.B course was 1007, regard has being to the marks obtained by the candidates securing the marks in the academic course of degree examination qualifying themselves for becoming eligible for admission to Law College.
