Judgment

1. Writ petition has been .filed seeking the following reliefs:—

(i) Certiorari quashing Office order No. 215 BOPEE of 2015 dated 26.06.2015 issued by respondent No.5 whereby the representation of the petitioner to consider the candidature of the petitioner under Resident of Backward Area (RBA) category in the admission process initiated by the respondents vide Notification No.02-BOPEE of 2015 dated 16.02.2015 for admission to various Professional Courses (MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BUMS / Physiotherapy / Diploma Dental Hygine / B.E.) was rejected.

(ii) Mandamus commanding the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner under Resident of Backward Area (RBA) category in the admission process initiated by the respondents vide Notification No.02-BOPEE of 2015 dated 16.02.2015 for admission to various Professional Courses (MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BUMS / Physiotherapy / Diploma Dental Hygiene/B.E.) and to select the petitioner for admission in MBBS course in Government Medical College, Jammu.
