JUDGMENT :
Heard the parties through video conferencing.

The appellant has preferred this appeal being aggrieved by the Judgment of conviction and Order of sentence dated 21.12.2018, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-XIV-cum-Special Judge, Vigilance (Anti-Corruption Bureau), Hazaribagh in Special Case No. 11 of 2012 whereby and where under the learned court below has held the appellant-accused guilty for the offences punishable under Section 7 as well as under Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and sentenced him to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for a period of one year and fine of Rs.500/- and in case of default of payment of fine to undergo Simple Imprisonment for a period of one month for the offence punishable under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. For the offence punishable under Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, the appellant-accused has been sentenced to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for a period of two years and fine of Rs.1,000/- and in default of payment of fine, to undergo Simple Imprisonment for a period of one and a half months.
