These writ petitions coming on for hearing on Wednesday 5-4-1965 and this day upon perusing the petitions the affidavits filed in support thereof, the orders of the High Court dated 10-2-1965 and 7-3-1966 and made respectively in Writ Petition No. 621 of 1965 and W.P. 513 of 1966 on the file of this court and the counter and reply affidavit filed herein and the records of the respondent in S48/43/64-Mis. Group 4, T.A. Memo No. 2/64 and comprised in the returns of the respondent to the writs made by the High Court and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. M. K. Nambiar for Mr. K. Krishnamurti, Advocates for the petitioners in each petition, and Mr. G. Ramanujam, Central Government Standing Counsel on behalf of the respondent in both the petitions the court made the following order.

2.Writ Petition No. 621 of 1965 was filed by the petitioner, clearing agents in the Madras Port, for the issue of a Writ of Prohibition against the Collector of Customs, Madras, restraining him from seizing the moneys deposited by the petitioners in their account with them and adjusting such moneys towards a time-barred claim for Rs. 3910-50 against Messrs.
