Seeking a writ of mandamus, this writ petition has been brought forth by the petitioner to direct the first respondent to regularize the services of the petitioner as Junior Assistant with effect from 112. 1986 and grant him the consequential benefit of promotion and pay with retrospective effect.
2. The affidavit in support of the petition is perused. The Court heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner. The second respondent is present in Court. On her instructions, the learned Additional Government Pleader made his submissions.
3. The case of the petitioner in short is that she was appointed as Junior Assistant in the Government High School at Vasudevanallur by the fourth respondent by an order dated 12. 1986 on compassionate ground on the death of her father, who was working as a Secondary Grade Teacher in Panchayat Union Middle School, Punniahpuram, Tenkasi Taluk. The scale of pay was also fixed. She joined duty on 112. 1986 forenoon. The order of appointment required the Headmaster of the School to submit to the Government the papers for regularization of the service after her joining duty.
