The appellant herein who is an accused in S.C.No.221 of 2006 and in S.C.No.222 of 2006 on the file of the Sessions Court, Mahalir Neethimandram, Chennai, stands convicted in S.C.No.221 of 2006 for offence under Section 376(1) and 506(2) IPC and sentenced to undergo seven years rigorous imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs.25,000/- in default to undergo two years rigorous imprisonment and he is also sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and out of the fine amount imposed, a sum of Rs.20,000/-is ordered to be deposited in fixed deposit as compensation for the child/Soundarya born to the Victim P.W.2; and he stands convicted in S.C.No.222 of 2006 for the offences under Section 366-A, 376(1) and 506
