1. The petitioner, State Youth Wing Convenor of 'Naam Tamizhar Katchi' has come up with this Writ Petition seeking to quash the order dated 11.01.2014 passed by the 2nd respondent and for a consequential direction to the 2nd respondent to grant him permission for conducting public meeting at Sulur, Coimbatore along with procession from Sulur Municipality, Trichy Salai to public meeting place.

According to the petitioner, their party scheduled to conduct a public meeting on 29.01.2014 in remembrance of Late Muthukumar, who died in Chennai for genocide killings of Tamizh people in Srilanka during the year 2009 and public meeting is scheduled to be conducted on 29.01.2014 at Sulur, Coimbatore District at 4.00 pm along with procession from Sulur Municipality, Trichy Salai to public meeting place which belongs to a private person, who has already given permission for conducting public meeting. Further, the petitioner made a representation dated 20.12.2013 to the respondents for grating permission for conducting public meeting in a peaceful manner without causing any disturbance to the general public.
