1. The appellants are the accused Nos. 2, 5 and 6 in S.C. No. 65 of 2010 on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Sessions Court No. II, Kancheepuram and they along with accused Nos. 1, 3 and 4 stood charged for the offences as detailed below:-

During the pendency of the trial, the accused Nos. 1, 3 and 4 died and therefore, the charges against them abated. Thus, the accused Nos. 2, 5 and 6, who were the appellants, alone faced the trial. By judgment, dated 28.02.2012, the Trial Court convicted the appellant Nos. 2, 5 and 6 and sentenced them as detailed below:-
