The appellant, sole accused in S.C.No.491 of 2010 on the file of the learned VI Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai, who stands convicted for offences under Sections 364 and 302 r/w Section 201 I.P.C. and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for seven years and pay a fine of Rs.50,000/-and in default to undergo simple imprisonment for six months for the offence under Section 364 I.P.C. and to undergo imprisonment for life and pay a fine of Rs.50,000/-and in default to undergo simple imprisonment for six months for the offence under Section 302 I.P.C. r/w Section 201 I.P.C., has come up with this appeal, challenging the said conviction and sentence.
2. The case of the prosecution in brief is as follows:
2.1. P.W.4 and P.W.1 are the husband and wife respectively. They got married in the year 2000. It was a love marriage. Out of the said wedlock, a female and a male child were born.
