This criminal appeal has been filed by the appellants/A1 to A3 against the judgment of conviction passed by the learned Additional District Court, Fast Track Court-III, Tiruvallur, in S.C.No.155 of 2008 dated 18.05.2010, in which, the learned Judge had convicted the appellants for the commission of offence under Sections 370, 371, 374 of I.P.C. and Sections 16, 17 and 20 of Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, and sentenced them as follows:

“A1 to A3 were sentenced to undergo 5 years rigorous imprisonment each and to pay a fine of Rs.25,000/- each in default to undergo six months simple imprisonment for the offence under Section 370 of I.P.C. and sentenced them to undergo six months rigorous imprisonment for the offence under Section 374 of I.P.C. and also sentenced them to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment each and to pay a fine of Rs.1,000/- each in default to undergo 1 month simple imprisonment each for the offence under Section 16 of Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act. A1 was further sentenced to undergo 5 years rigorous imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs.25,000/- in default to undergo six months simple imprisonment for the offence under Section 371 of I.P.C.
