The Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to call for the records in CC.No.2315 of 2018 on the file of the XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore and quash the same.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 06.09.2017, the respondent police lodged a complaint that the members of Student Federation of India were unlawfully assembled in the place of AMMA Memorial and raised slogans against the Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister Mr.Edappadi Palanisamy for not revoking NEET Examination and also sought justice for the death of Anitha. Hence, they were arrested and FIR has been registered in Crime No.945/2017 for the offences under Section 143, 188, 353 IPC. The petitioners have not indulged in any offences as alleged in the charge sheet. The 1st petitioner is a practising advocate, who used to appear for Student Federation of India and other public causes. Hence, prays for appropriate relief.
