These two appeals are directed against the orders dated 27.06.2014, passed by the learned District Judge, Cuttack, in I.A.No.03 of 2014, arising out of Arbitration Petition Nos.27 and 18 of 2014, respectively, rejecting the petition filed under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
2. The facts of the case, as detailed in the two appeals are that the Ravenshaw University (respondent no.1) decided to undertake various professional courses with the participation of private service providers under self-financing mode and in furtherance of its objectives for providing such self-financing courses in collaboration with private service providers, Ravenshaw University sought the permission of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha. The respondent no.1 in the Academic Council decided to undertake the three years degree course in Bachelor of Business Management (in short ‘BBA’), Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Telecommunication (in short “B.Sc.
