Judgment

Sham Sunder, J.

1. This petition, under Section 482 Cr.P.C, has been filed by the petitioners, for quashing FIR No. 454, dated 18.11.98, under Sections 406 and 498-A IPC, Police Station Old Faridabad, District Faridabad, on the basis of compromise.

2. The Counsel for the petitioners has submitted, that the petitioners have arrived at a compromise. He has further submitted that as per the compromise, now there remains, no dispute, between the petitioners. He has also submitted an affidavit (Annexure P2), duly signed by petitioner No. 2, in shape of compromise. He further submitted that Report of the Judicial Magistrate, Faridabad, has also been received that the parties have arrived at a compromise. He further submitted that, on the basis of the compromise, referred to above, the FIR and all the subsequent proceedings, arising therefrom, be quashed, so as to prevent the abuse of the process of Court; harassment to the parties; and create better relations between them. He also placed reliance on Kulwinder Singh v. State of Punjab, (2007-3)147 P.L.R. 439 (F.B.), a judgement delivered by a Full Bench of this Court.

3. The Counsel for the State, did not oppose the quashing of th
