Mr. Kanwaljit Singh Ahluwalia, J.(Oral):- Present appeal has been preferred by seven appellants, namely, Harbhajan Singh, Ajit Singh, Chanan Singh, Bant Kaur, Amarjit Singh, Dara Singh and Nasib Singh. They were tried in a case FIR No.46 dated 04.06.1998 registered at Police Station Balachaur under Sections 307, 326, 324, 323, 506, 148, 149 IPC. The Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Nawanshahar, vide its judgment and order dated 6th October, 2000 convicted and sentenced them as under:
