JUDGMENT

S.S. Saron, J.:- Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The petitioner Bikramjit Singh seeks regular bail in a case registered against him on 19.4.2010 in respect of the incident that occurred on 11.4.2010.

3. The FIR in the case has been registered for the offences under Sections 307, 323, 148 and 149 IPC. In the incident that occurred on 11.4.2010 at 1.45 p.m., the complainant Yadwinder Singh was going from Boaprai to Batala in a bus. When the bus reached on the turn of Basarpura, Bikramjit Singh and Davinder Singh stopped the vehicle while standing in front of it. When the bus stopped, the complainant was standing on the back door of bus. Saminder Singh @ Sherry, Harpreet Singh @ Happy and Sabba armed with ‘datars’ and two-three more unknown persons were armed with datars and kirpans came out from the Qualis vehicle. Bikramjit Singh (petitioner) and Devinder Singh took out ‘kirches’ from the car. Bikramjit Singh (petitioner) raised lalkara that the complainant insulted him for not taking the bus ticket and he should not be spared.
