JUDGMENT :

LISA GILL, J.

1. Present appeal has been filed by the claimants for enhancement of compensation awarded by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Hoshiarpur (hereinafter referred to as the 'Tribunal') on account of death of Harjinder Singh vide award dated 28.04.2014.

2. Brief facts necessary for adjudication of the case are that the claimants i.e. widow, two minor children and widow mother of the deceased filed a petition under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act seeking compensation on account of death of Harjinder Singh on 29.07.2012 in a motor vehicle accident, caused due to rash and negligent driving of the offending vehicle, Truck bearing registration No. PB-07AB-9003, by respondent No.2. FIR No. 98 dated 30.07.2012 under Sections 279/304A/427 IPC was registered. Harjinder Singh was claimed to be working as a permanent Home Guard with the State of Punjab earning Rs.12,000/- per month.

3. Learned Tribunal on considering the evidence on record, facts and circumstances concluded that Harjinder Singh died in the accident which took place on 29.07.2012 due to ras
