JUDGMENT
Rajbir Sehrawat, J. (Oral) - This petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing on its merits, the FIR No.77 dated 07.05.2017 registered under Section 306 IPC at Police Station Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.
2. Notice of motion was issued on 21.11.2017, pursuant to which, reply on behalf of the State was filed and taken on record. However, during pendency of the petition, the parties seemed to have settled their dispute amicably as the matter was pertaining to matrimonial dispute. Accordingly, an application was moved by counsel for the petitioners for placing on record the affidavit dated 18.08.2019 of the complainant Sh. Ashok Gupta (Annexure A-l) along with the Compromise Deed dated 18.08.2019 (Annexure A-2).
3. Vide order dated 02.09.2019, the parties were directed to appear before the learned trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate, for getting their statements recorded; as to the genuineness of the compromise.
