2. The present petition is directed against the order dated 02.08.2018 passed by the Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Amritsar (for short - the Trial Court) through which the petitioner-husband was directed to pay interim maintenance to the respondent-wife @ Rs. 10,000/- per month and to their minor child who is in the custody of the respondent-wife @ Rs.7500/- per month. Also under challenge is the order dated 04.12.2018 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Amritsar (for short - the Appellate Court) through which the petitioner's appeal filed by him against the aforesaid order of the Trial Court was dismissed.
3. The facts, in brief, which are required to be noticed for adjudicating upon the present petition are that on 22.04.2015, the petitioner and respondent No.l got married at Amritsar. Out of the wedlock, on 23.07.2016, a male child namely Gursirat Singh was born.
