Judgment

Mr. N.S. Shekhawat, J.

The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C. with a prayer to grant a regular bail in case FIR No. 278 dated 15.10.2020 registered under Section 22 (C) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station Gidderbaha, District Sri Muktsar Sahib.

2. As per the case of the prosecution, the petitioner was found in conscious possession of 1100 narcotic tablets containing salt Tramadol Hydrochloride and was arrested at the spot.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has been falsely involved in the present case and was arrested by the police on 15.10.2020. He further contends that in the present case, only 7 prosecution witnesses have been examined, out of total 21 prosecution witnesses and the trial has been unnecessarily delayed by the prosecution, without
