This writ petition is directed against the order dated 17th January, 1983 passed by the Deputy Direc tor of Consolidation, respondent No. 1, whereby the revision filed by the contesting respondents was allowed and the objection of the petitioner filed under Section 9 of U. P. Consolidation of Holdings Act (hereinafter referred to as the Act) was dismissed.

2. The dispute relates to the land which belonged to Bachchan Lal and Gajodhar. The petitioner claims that they executed a registered sale deed in his favour on 12th August, 1964 and he was entitled for muta tion of his name in respect of the land trans ferred to him by the sale deed. He filed a mutation application before the Tahsildar concerned.
