JUDGMENT :

1. In terms of the order dated 21.02.2019 it was observed that the affidavit filed by the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Forest and Environment Department, Shillong is uncertain in its term. Fresh affidavit was to be filed for removing the ambiguity which now has been filed. Perusal of the same reveals that the Forest and Environment Department, Shillong vide letter No.FOR.33/2018/261 dated 28.03.2019 has sanctioned an amount of Rs.22,34,000/- for improvement of 12.20 Kms long road originating from Baghmara-Moheshkhola PWD road at Hatisia which terminates at old helipad located at Balpakram Plateau. The work for improvement of the said road will start on 01.04.2019 to be completed by 30.06.2019.

2. With the filing of this affidavit and response earlier filed by learned Amicus Curiae, purpose of this petition is already achieved. However, some ancillary applications have been filed to be considered separately i.e. MC (PIL) No.8 of 2018 and MC (PIL) No.2 of 2019 therefore, shall come up for consideration separately.

3. Petition (PIL) stand disposed of as above.
