JUDGMENT

G.Sri Devi, J. - This appeal is directed against the judgment of the learned Special Sessions Judge for SCs. & STs. (POA) Act, 1989, Ranga Reddy District at L.B.Nagar, in S.C.No.11 of 2009, dated 25.01.2011, whereby the appellants/A1 and A2 were convicted for the offences under Section 323 read with Section 34 of I.P.C. and Section 3 (1) (x) of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of six months and to pay a fine of Rs. 1000/- each, in default of payment of fine, to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of three months for the offence under Section 323 read with Section 34 of I.P.C., and also sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of six months and to pay a fine of Rs. 500/- each, in default of payment of fine, to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of three months for the offence under Section 3 (1) (x) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (POA) Act. Both the sentences were directed to run concurrently.
