ORDER (Oral)
Hon’ble Mr. Tarun Shridhar, Member (A)
The applicants, who are working as Junior Hindi
Translators (J.H.T.) in the Department of Official Language
are aggrieved that their bona fide claim for grant of pay
scales
at parity with their
counterparts
in Central
Secretariat Official Language Services (C.S.O.L.S.) cadre has
been denied.
2.
Aggrieved by the rejection of their claim, they have
preferred the present O.A. seeking the following relief(s):

4.
While
the
officials
posted
as
Junior
Hindi
Translators borne on the C.S.O.L.S. were given a higher pay
scale of Rs. 5500-9000, their counterpart Junior Hindi
Translators in subordinate/attached offices of the ministries,
as also the autonomous bodies were placed in the pay scale
of 5000-8000. The applicants term this as discriminatory as
the qualifications for holding this post as also the work
performed by them are identical.
