The instant appeal is directed against the order dated 5.3.2022

passed by Additional Principal Judge, Family Court No. 2,

Muzaffarnagar, allowing the application of the respondent-wife

filed under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, awarding Rs.

3,000/- per month as interim maintenance and Rs. 30,000/- in

lumpsum as litigation expenses.

The facts in brief are that the appellant filed a petition under

Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act seeking divorce from the

respondent. During pendency of these proceedings, the

respondent filed an application under Section 24 of the Hindu

Marriage Act. The respondent alleged that the appellant owns

25-30 bigha agricultural land and was earning Rs. 65,000/- per

month. On the other hand, the appellant contended that the

respondent is earning Rs. 50,000/- per month by tuition and as a

beautician. However, the court has found that none of the
