Heard Sri Shashi Kant Shukla, learned counsel for

the applicant, Sri Bhawani Prasad Shukla, learned

counsel for the informant as well as learned A.G.A.

for the State of U.P and perused the material

available on record.

Contention, in brief, is that the marriage of the

deceased Kanchan @ Kanchana was performed

with Rinku Saroj on 25.06.2020. After

solemnization of the marriage, demand of dowry

was raised, cruelty was perpetrated upon the

deceased, daughter of the informant and

Rs.20,000/- was demanded as cash. On refusal,

maltreatment continued to her. On 02.03.2021

around 7:00 p.m., someone informed on mobile

that daughter of the informant has expired. When

the informant reached the house of in-laws of his

daughter, he found dead body over there and also

some ligature mark on her neck. Cause of death

was asphyxia. No specific role has been assigned

to the applicant. Similarly
