This petition has been filed by the petitioner assailing the

impugned notice dated 5.10.2020 issued by respondent no.2

under section 3(1) of U.P. Control of Goondas Act.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that due to Covid-19

pandemic, he could not file reply to the said show cause notice

and purpose of filing this petition would be served if he is

permitted to file reply to the said notice within two weeks and

in turn respondent no.2 be directed to decide the same by a

speaking order.

State counsel has no objection to this proposition.

The petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to file reply

to the said notice within two weeks from today and in the

eventuality of doing so, it is expected from respondent no.2 to

decide the same on merits in accordance with law as

expeditiously
