The present petition has been filed on behalf of M. (the name is

not being disclosed to maintain the anonymity of petitioner no.

1) by Sri Vaibhav Kumar Kushwah alleging to be her husband

and stating that they had married on 4.2.2020. It has been stated

in the writ petition that the petitioner no. 1 was major since her

date of birth is 26.4.1998 but her marriage with petitioner no. 2,

i.e., Vaibhav Kumar Kushwah was not relished by the parents of

petitioner no. 1 and, therefore, the parents detained her when

she went to meet them. It is further stated that the petitioner no.

1 was being detained illegally and against her wishes by her

father, respondent no. 4.

In response to the rule nisi issued on 20.11.2020, the petitioner

no. 1 / detenue has been produced before this Court by Lady

Constable 1853 Shweta, P.S. Civil Lines, District Meerut.

In order to ascertain the stand of the petitioner no. 1 / detenue,

the Court put certain questions to her.
