2. Heard V.N.V.Surya Dattu, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home.
3. The case of the petitioner is that, the petitioner was appointed by the A.P. State Waqf Board as Government Qazi and also a Sajjada Nasheen for the Hazrat Syed Shah Gud Mastan valli Dargah. The petitioner, with the committee members, has agreed to celebrate URUSU festival of the said Dargah from 26th to 29th of April, 2023 without any changes in the celebrations as done in the past.
4. The said celebration will attract around three thousand Musallis from Karnataka, Telangana, Maharastra and Andhra Pradesh. Hence, to avoid untoward incidents in the said festival, the petitioner, with his committee members, requested to provide the police protection for smooth conduct of the said festival.
5. Accordingly, the petitioner submitted a representation to the S.H.O. of Jammalamadugu, through registered post on 24.04.2023. The petitioner, with the committee members also, submitted the application dated 20.04.2023, to respondent Nos.2 to 5 for providing Police Bandobast on the schedule dates of the said festival to maintain law and order and smooth functioning of religious program without any communal disputes. But, none of the respondents was inclined to grant Police Bandobast for the said program. Aggrieved by the same the petitioner filed this Writ Petition.
6. When the Writ Petition came up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader for Home has submitted a copy of the Written Instructions of the respondent No.5 wherein it is stated that, the protection is granted on the representation made by the committee members of the said Dargah. So, the learned Government Pleader for Home requested to dismiss the writ petition as the petitioner again requests to provide the Police Bandobast for the same festival.
7. Since the relief requested by the petitioner has already been complied, learned counsel for the petitioner requested to record the same.
8. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of recording the written instructions submitted by the learned Government Pleader for Home. There shall be no order as to costs.
Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
