ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri M.Manohar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for Kakinada Municipal Corporation.
2. The petitioner has approached this Court stating that he is being forcibly evicted from the property which he claims to be in his possession. He relies upon certain documents viz., Election Identity Card, Electricity Bills etc., to show that he is in settled possession. Apart from that, he also relies upon the Tax Receipts to show the collection of property tax for the years 2016 and 2017. In addition to that, he relies upon the A.P. State Housing Corporation letter, which states of sanctioning of loan to the petitioner to construct a house in Government site or in his own site. The contention of the petitioner is that he has been directed to vacate the site immediately on the alleged ground that the site was occupied by him.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a rikshaw puller against whom the might of the State is being used to forcibly evict him. He points out that a status quo order was granted on 08.5.2019 and the same is still in force.
