THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE D.RAMESH WRIT PETITION No.32279 of 2025

ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:

“…..to issue a writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners for mutation of their names in Revenue Records and issue New Pattadar passbooks and Title deeds pursuant to representation dated 13.10.2025 to the respondents 2 and 4 respectively as illegal arbitrary and contrary to Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass books Act, 1971 and A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass book Rules, 1989 and violative of Article 14, 16 and 300-A of the Constitution of India.….”

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents.

3. The grievance of the petitioners in the present writ petition is that despite submitting a representation dated 13.10.2025 seeking for mutation of their names in revenue records and issue of pattadar pass books and title deeds, in respect of the subject land, no orders have been passed so far. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader has submitted that the application for mutation of names in revenue records and issue of pattadar pass books and title deeds has to be made through online.

5. Considering the submissions made by both the learned counsel, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage, by granting liberty to the petitioners to submit an online application within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such application, the respondent authorities shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks thereafter. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
