The writ petition was filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction, failure, and deliberate negligence of the respondents in not dispersing the unlawful mob, and not providing adequate police protection to the residence of Jogi Ramesh, as illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional, and violate of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently, direct the respondent authorities to provide adequate and effective police protection.
