ORDER:

This writ petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in refusing to accept the petitioner’s 10 ^th Class Examination fee for the academic year 2025–2026, which is scheduled to be conducted from 16.03.2026 as illegal, arbitrary.

2. The petitioner, who is a student studying 10th Class, has to appear for the 10th Class examinations to be conducted for this academic year. However, the petitioner could not pay the fee within the schedule fixed for payment before the last date, i.e., on 26.12.2025, on account of ill health. Though the petitioner sought to pay the examination fee thereafter, the same is not being accepted by the portal.

3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner seeks a direction to the Respondent Authorities to permit the Petitioner to pay the examination fee with late fee charges.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner is a student and could not pay the examination fee on account of the medical issues, the present Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions:

i) The Respondent Authorities are directed to permit the Petitioner to pay the examination fee with the late fee charges and permit him to write the 10th Class examinations for the academic year 2025-26, which are commencing from 16.03.2026.

ii) There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this case shall stand closed.
