Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the
circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be
pleased to issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or
direction declaring the action of the respondents 2 to 6 in appointing 7th
respondent for the post of Anganwadi Worker of Ninkampalli-II Village,
Hindupur Mandal, Anantapur District is illegal, arbitrary, set aside the 7th
respondent's appointment for the post of Anganwadi Worker in Ninkampalli-II
Village, Hindupur Mandal, Anantapur District and consequently direct the
respondents 3 to 6 to appoint the petitioner as Anganwadi Worker in
Ninkampalli-II Village, Hindupur Mandal, Anantapur District and to pass

Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated
in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased to
direct the respondents 3 to 6 not to give any effect the appoint of 7th
respondent as Anganwadi Worker in Ninkampalli-II Village, Hindupur Mandal,
Anantapur District pending disposal of the above writ petition and to pass.

Order:-
The petitioner is challenging the appointment of the 7th respondent as
Anganwadi Worker instead of selecting the petitioner.
2. It is submitted that the 7th respondent is not a native of Ninkampalli-II
Village and that the notification mandates selection of a local candidate as a
criterion for submitting the application. It is also stated in the affidavit that the
7th respondent is a resident of Singireddipalli Village, Hindupur Mandal,
Anantapur District for the last fifteen (15) years; however, the respondent
Nos.2 to 6 have preferred the 7th respondent in spite of the 7th respondent not
meeting the eligibility criteria.
3. The respondent Nos.1 to 6 have filed the counter and it is stated therein
that the 7th respondent has produced the relevant residence certificate, and
that the Selection Committee constituted for finalizing and selecting the
Anganwadi Workers and Mini Anganwadi Workers has preferred the
7th respondent duly taking into consideration her performance. The nativity
certificate of the 7th respondent is also filed along with the counter.
4. Considering the submission of the learned Assistant Government
Pleader that the Selection Committee has recruited the Anganwadi Worker on
merits and in a transparent manner, this Court is not inclined to interfere.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to
costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
