The Court made the following:

ORDER:

The Writ Petition has been filed for the following relief:

“…to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the impugned the action of the 4th Respondent in calling the petitioner to appear before the 4th Respondent without issuing any notice as illegal, arbitrary, unjust and violative of Article 14, 19 (1) and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondents more particularly the Respondents 4 not to interfere with personal life and liberty in any manner and not to call the petitioner to appear before the Respondent No.4…”

2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader.

3. Mrs. Y. Maha Lakshmi, learned counsel for the Petitioner, submits that the Petitioner has been called to the Police Station without issuance of any notice.

4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that there are altogether six cases registered against the Petitioner and that a rowdy sheet has also been opened.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Respondent Police to follow due process of law before calling the Petitioner to the Police Station, by issuing appropriate notice, and liberty is granted to the Petitioner to challenge the rowdy sheet, if so advised.

6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
