ORAL JUDGMENT:

Heard the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the appellant

and the learned APP for the State.

The appellant has been convicted by the Trial Court under

sections 395, 394 read with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and

sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for seven years and to pay

fine of Rs 1000/- and, in default of payment of fine, to suffer rigorous

imprisonment for further six months. He is also convicted under

section 397 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous

imprisonment for seven years.
