By this application, the applicant seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with CR No.300 of 2025, registered at Parksite Police Station, Mumbai, for offences punishable under Sections 37(1) and 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 , and Sections 115 (2), 118(1), 351(2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 .

2. It is the case of the prosecution that on 24 April 2025, a dispute over a skyrocketing electricity bill, which the informant believed was caused by the applicant tampering with the wiring, erupted into a violent assault. Following a series of heated phone calls and confrontations, the applicant, accompanied by two unknown individuals, ambushed the informant and his brother near a public toilet. The applicant plunged a knife into the back of the informant’s brother, while one of his accomplices bludgeoned the informant on the head with a wooden stick, leaving both men with serious injuries. The victims were first treated at Rajawadi Hospital, and the informant was later transferred to Sion Hospital.
