For the Respondents: Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, Ld. AGP, Mr. Pannalal Bandopadhyay, Mr. Amal Kr. Sen, Ld. AGP, Ms. Ashima Das (Sil)

The court deferred hearings on related writ petitions pending the Division Bench's decision on route disputes.

Headnote:The court considers the statute relating to public transport regulations and addresses the facts of curtailment and extension of routes impacting the petitioners. The court finds that the issues in both writ petitions align closely, emphasizing a need for awaiting a concurrent decision from a Division Bench regarding similar concerns. The court frames the primary issue on the necessity of meanings derived from the Division Bench's judgment. The court decides to postpone the hearings until the prior matter is adjudicated, allowing for completion of pleadings beforehand.
