CALCUTTA HIGH COURT
Tirthankar Ghosh, J
Babul Kumar Mistry – Appellant
Versus
The State of West Bengal – Respondent
WPA 415 of 2025
The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities as his representation dated 04.12.2024 which was addressed to the Officer-in-charge of Baruipur Police Station was not considered.
In view of the passage of time which has passed, I direct the petitioner to submit a fresh representation in continuation of the earlier representation dated 04.12.2024 with the Officer-in-charge of Baruipur Police Station. If such representation is submitted, the concerned police station would assess as also ascertain regarding the genuinity of the accusations, thereafter, take steps in accordance with law. The findings of the police authorities be also communicated to the petitioner within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the fresh representation.
Since none appears on behalf of the State, Mr. Raja Ram Banerjee, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State, is directed to represent the State. His appearance may be regularized by the concerned authority.
With the aforesaid observations, WPA 415 of 2025 is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
