Court grants time extensions for filing affidavits and procedural directions in writ petition.

On the prayer of the learned senior counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3 time to file affidavit-in-opposition is extended till today. Affidavit-in-opposition filed today in court is taken on record.

Similarly on the prayer of the learned advocate for the petitioner affidavit-in-reply filed in Since Union of India is not represented, Mr.

Amit Chakraborty, learned counsel who normally appears for the Union of India is requested to appear in the matter, to hold the brief and to assist this court henceforth. His appearance shall be regularized by the appropriate authority forthwith.

Petitioner shall serve a copy of the writ petition and the orders passed from time to time including a copy of today’s order upon Mr. Amit Chakraborty, learned advocate and shall file affidavit of service when the matter shall be taken up next.

The writ petition shall appear under the heading “Hearing (Service)” in the monthly list of December, 2025 At this juncture on the prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner leave is granted to the petitioner to file supplementary affidavit.

The supplementary affidavit filed in court Copy has been served upon learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3 and a copy shall also be served upon Mr. Amit Chakraborty, learned counsel for the Union of India.

The respondents shall be at liberty to file its rejoinder to the said supplementary affidavit in the meantime.
