By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent authorities for disbursement of the outstanding amount in respect of the work executed in connection with common quotation no.259/SAL/MGNREGS/2020-21 dated 7th October, 2020.
The petitioner contends that he has completed the work allocated to him under the aforesaid common quotation. There is an outstanding amount of Rs.33,00,000/-. The petitioner has made representation before the respondent authorities including the District Magistrate, Bankura on 13th October, 2023. However, till date no step has been taken for disbursement of the said amount. Hence, this writ petition.
Mr. Mani Sankar Chattopadhyay, learned Advocate for the petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent authorities for disbursement of the outstanding amount in favour of the petitioner.
Ms. Kakali Samajpaty, learned Advocate for the State-respondents submits that no tender process was executed at that point of time. However, she concedes that the petitioner has completed the work as allocated to him.
