The petitioner is a student of B.A., LLB 5 year course in the Indian Institute of Legal Studies and appeared for her 5th semester examination which commenced on 24th January, 2023. She did not qualify in any of the papers and appeared for the 5th semester examination for the 2nd time on 30th January, 2024. In the said examination she qualified in all the papers except “Constitutional Law-II”. She appeared in the 6th and 7th semester examinations and qualified in all the subjects.
However, she did not take the supplementary tests for clearance in the subjects in which she did not qualify earlier. When she tried to fill up the online form for appearing in the 8th semester examination she was found to be ineligible to appear for the examination.
The petitioner seeks a direction upon the authority to allow her to appear for the said examination as a special chance.
Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the documents are not clear as to why she was prevented from appearing in the 8th semester examination.
