1. Mr. Kalyan Bandopadhyay, learned Senior Counsel appears and submits that he would be representing the State and has prayed for time to file a comprehensive affidavit-in-opposition in respect of all the three matters. It is assured that the said affidavit shall address all the issues raised in the three writ petitions.
2. A comprehensive affidavit-in-opposition shall be filed on or before 16th July, 2025 upon prior service to the learned Advocates for the writ petitioners.
3. The matter stands adjourned till 17th July, 2025
4. The direction to file affidavit-in-opposition is peremptory.
5. The department is directed to trace out the affidavit filed by the State in WPA (P) 442 of 2023 affirmed by one Mr. Shiladitya Chakraborty on 25th September, 2023. It appears from the order dated 27th March, 2025 that the said affidavit was on record.
6. Hence, the department is directed to immediately trace out the affidavit and must ensure that the said affidavit is available on the adjourned date.
