1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent no.4, the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, to consider the representation of the petitioner for transfer on medical and distance ground from her present place of posting i.e., Udang Girls Primary School under Sirajbati Circle, district Howrah to any school nearby to her residence under Paschim Medinipur District Primary School Council.

3. The petitioner contends that she is an Assistant Teacher at Udang Girls Primary School and has joined service on 27th July, 2021. The petitioner is suffering from gynaecological problems. The petitioner has to travel 240 kilometres everyday to attend her work place. The petitioner made representation before the respondent authorities on 7th July, 2025 seeking transfer. However, the same is pending with the authority. Hence, this writ petition.

4. Mr. Ratul Biswas, learned advocate, for the Board submits that the matter be relegated to the appropriate authority to take a decision on the matter of transfer of the petitioner in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, the respondent no.4, the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 7th July, 2025, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. The petitioner is directed to communicate this order to the respondent no.4, the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education.

7. With the above direction, writ petition, being WPA

19826 of 2025, stands disposed of.

8. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted.

9. Connected application, if any, stands disposed of.

10. All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

11. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
