Mr. Achyut Basu Ms. Punam Basu ..for the petitioners Mr. Debjit Mukherjee ..for WBSEDCL By filing the present writ petition, the petitioners have sought a direction upon the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) for the removal of high-tension electricity wires from their premises.

The affidavit-in-opposition filed by WBSEDCL, inter alia, states as follows:

(b) This deponent further states that properly sagged high-tension line is located along with the nearest main road and it is 200-250 meter distance from the building structure situated over the petitioner’s land. Accordingly, the same cannot cause electrical hazards in terms of life and property.

(c) It is pertinent to mention here that a letter was received from the petitioner on 3^rd March, 2020 for shifting of the line. After receiving the said letter, the In-charge of the high-tension line visited the place along with this deponent. But, unfortunately on one was present on behalf of the Math.
