1. Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is

taken on record.

2. Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates

representing the petitioner and the Union of India.

3. Matter relates to appointment of the petitioner as

Constable (G.D.) under Central Armed Police Forces (in short, ‘CAPFs’). At the time of physical measurement test, height of the petitioner was measured as 169.5 cm as a result whereof petitioner was declared not qualified for being considered for appointment in the post of Constable (G.D.) under

CAPFs.

4. Learned advocate representing the petitioner relies

on a batch of writ petitions, first one being WPA 26215 of 2025 (Debashis Ghosh vs. Union of India & Ors.) wherein the issue had already been decided by this Court that in the event a candidate’s

height is measured in between 169.5 cm and 169.9 cm, the same needs to be rounded off to the next higher centimeter in terms of Clause
