1. The petitioner, claiming to be a person interested

in education, authorized by the school, has filed the instant writ petition alleging inaction on the part of the District Inspector of Schools (SE), North 24 Parganas and the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in not taking steps against the private respondent despite complaints being

lodged against her.

2. Learned counsel for the Board submits, upon

instructions, that repeated requests were made before the DI of Schools to conduct an inquiry and submit a report. The same has not been

done till date.

3. Learned counsel for the State is not ready with

proper instructions.

4. Learned counsel for the private respondent submits, upon instructions, that the managing committee is acting in aid of a librarian who is involved in several illegal activities inside the school premises. Several complaints against the librarian were made by the students of the school.

5. Learned counsel for the State is directed to revert with positive instructions as regards steps taken for conducting inquiry in terms of the directions issued by the Board.

6. Relist on January 19, 2026.

7. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

8. Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
